The official UEFA Champions League magazine Champions reaches a proud milestone with its latest edition — No. 50.
Packed with interviews, insight and analysis, this special edition comes complete with a 24-page supplement on the 50 greatest UEFA Champions League players. The December/January 2012 issue is, as always, a must for the discerning football fan.

In an exclusive interview, FC Bayern München winger Frank Ribéry reveals the real reasons behind his return to form, why he's not thinking about the 2012 final in Munich just yet, and the sleepless nights being caused by a new arrival in his household.

Once upon a time, the counterattack was regarded as the hallmark of defensive football. However, Champions investigates how coach Walter Mazzarri and his SSC Napoli team have reinvented the art of playing on the break.

Champions also pays tribute to Manchester United FC manager Sir Alex Ferguson who has now been in charge at Old Trafford for 25 years, and some of Europe's finest coaches offer their thoughts and reveal a few secrets, while Champions reflects on Ferguson's constant striving for perfection.

Is Javier Mascherano is the centre-back of the future? The Argentinian midfielder's performance at the heart of the FC Barcelona defence in the 2011 UEFA Champions League final suggests that he could be the shape of things to come. Champions examines the evolution of the central defender.

David Silva may like the quiet life in his Cheshire village, but the Manchester City FC midfield maestro is making his presence felt loud and clear in the UEFA Champions League this season. The Spaniard tells Guillem Balagué the Citizens are out to win it.

New Olympique Lyonnais coach Rémi Garde discusses his mission to restore "house values" at Stade de Gerland, and reveals how his old Arsenal FC manager Arsène Wenger told him to savour every win for three minutes before concentrating on the next one.

Finally, to celebrate its 50th issue, Champions counts down the 20 greatest moments in UEFA Champions League history. After a poll of UEFA.com users, Zinédine Zidane's amazing volley for Real Madrid CF in the 2002 final against Bayer 04 Leverkusen only makes number two... so which unforgettable moment is at number one?
